Daniel Faris began studying violin at the age of 5, fired by a passion for music, which he attributes partially to a God-given desire and partially to the film Fantasia. After studying for several years at the Concord Community School of Music in New Hampshire, he completed his high school education at the University of North Carolina School for the Arts, studying with Joe Genualdi. Returning to New England, Daniel studied under Dana Mazurkevich at the Boston University College of Fine Arts, graduating with a Bachelor of Music in 2014 and a Masters in 2016.
Daniel started his professional career by playing with a piano quintet on a cruise ship in the Lincoln Center Stage program and is now active in the orchestra scene around Boston and other New England communities. He joined the Cape Symphony as a member in 2021 and frequently plays with other ensembles in the region, including the Boston Ballet, Portland Symphony Orchestra, New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, and the Boston Festival Orchestra. Additionally, Daniel has enjoyed a variety of performance opportunities in less conventional surroundings, such as museums, churches, and prisons, and the Governor of New Hampshire's cabinet meeting. He has also recorded two solo albums.
