Please note that the Pro Arte office has the largest selection of tickets in all price ranges. We allocate a smaller number of tickets to the Harvard Box Office/Sanders Theatre. Both Pro Arte and the Harvard Box Office charge a $4.00 handling charge, and the Harvard Box Office charges a $1.00 shipping fee for tickets.
There are three ways you can be added to our mailing list.
As soon as we receive your form, we will add you to our mailing list and mail you our season brochure or a postcard about our next concert. In addition, we will automatically send you an e-mail reminder within a week before the next concert.
Whenever Pro Arte plans to hold auditions to fill vacancies within the orchestra, it will advertise the audition opportunity well in advance in the Boston Musicians' Association (AFM Local 9-535) Interlude publication. If you are a professional musician who is a Local 9-535 union member and would like to perform as substitute for Pro Arte, please send your résumé to Pro Arte via mail, email, or fax. (Click here for contact information.)
We recommend the following Boston string dealers who advertise in our concert program book: Reuning & Son Violins, (617) 262-1300, or e-mail info@reuning.com; Curtis Bryant, (617) 924-2044, and Johnson String Instrument, (617) 964-0954, or e-mail info@johnsonstring.com.
More information on musical pieces
If you would like more information on musicologist Steven Ledbetter's program notes, please e-mail us at info@proarte.org, and we will be happy to forward your questions to Mr. Ledbetter. Alternately, please consult your local library for more information. In the Boston area we recommend the Longy School of Music, the New England Conservatory, and the Brookline public libraries.
Many, but not all, of our soloists live in or near the Boston area. If they are Boston Symphony Orchestra members, you can contact them by calling the BSO directly at (617) 266-1492. You can find out more about a particular soloist by searching Pro Arte's website, or by doing a web search using Google. Although we can't give out unlisted home phone numbers, we can give you the phone number of the soloist's agent or publicist. We can also forward an e-mail to the soloist on your behalf. Please send your e-mail to info@proarte.org.
